Adbusters Detournement- Hijacking or re-routing,  AKA culture jamming.  Culture jamming- The practice of criticising and subverting advertising and consumerism in the mass media, by methods such as producing advertisements parodying those of global brands.  The genre of this is not immediately clear due to first glance at all the covers are completely different and no inside into what stories are featured so we have no clue. The competition with 4 cars, if this was in the 1960s then the idea of a women driving would not exist whereas in the 1980s its not anything much different. It still has the same ideology and it is not completely progressive as they are still giving away kitchens. Working class is still the target audience so not much ...

"Brand identity is how a business presents itself to and wants to be perceived by its consumers."     When a magazine targets an audience, they are not just targeting the audience, they are constructing a target audience.  Brand loyalty - when you keep coming back to a certain brand.  Advantages of specific target audience, the people will come back because the magazine is specific to then, the adverts will be relevant to what people want, for example an advert selling speakers in a music magazine. Brand loyalty- logo- represents ideologies of a company and helps their consumers to trust the company.  Vogue is serious whereas women is more casual. The layout of vogue is very plain and the main attraction is on the model, as the cover is plain and all the writing blends in to the models blue wear. The women is a very messy layo...
