Basic structure for a paragraph- Point, Evidence, Explanation

Introduction- 
Definition- Define the key terms of the question. For example, Binary Oppositions 
Argument- Argue one way and stick to it throughout. However paragraph towards the end, but conclusion states how you are right.
Context- Facts, for example Les Revenants was released in 2012, on Canal+ was released in 2014 on channel 4 so they would be the distributor 

Paragraphs-
Point
Evidence- Media Language from specific scenes.
Argument- How the evidence links to the introduction argument.

• Stereotype will come up in a question about representation.

Big Five Media Words

• Hegemony- Conforms to social standards, Rules and Restrictions that people follow with consent.
• Ideology- The viewpoint of the producer, Hegemonic Patriarchal Ideology
• Intertextuality- When a media product references another media product. 
• Polysemy- multiple meanings.
• Negotiation- The idea of negotiated readings and that the audience can think of anything they want.

"In the 21st century, it is essential for TV shows to offer multiple meanings"- Evaluate this claim and back it up with reference to Les Revenants.

Key scene from Les Revenants- Opening scene 

• Extreme long shot to establish the opening of the bus
• Bus, Mountains
• Gloomy facial expressions from Camille.
• Cut to black, present day
• Slow zoom from the exterior to the interior.
• Butterfly burst out the cabinet which could resemble the idea of coming back to life 
• Hermeneutic codes, of the Monsieur Costa having a nap and Camille coming home.
• Soundtrack, when the Butterfly brakes free the music reaches its biggest note, Demonstrates the symbolic code of the butterfly.
• Low key desaturated lighting emphasises that something eerie is going on through the use of hermeneutic code of Camille dying in one scene and being alive in the next scene, this enforces.
• Camille is consisting of close up shots in a montage which positions the audience in her position, with the young Camille, Camille's age allows teenage audiences to invest in the complicated narrative.
• The sudden and mysterious dip to black following the long shot of the bus accident is symbolic of not only the audiences own confusion and the shows primary theme of death and finality. 
• Establishing shot and the subsequent long shots of the bus to establish an isolated and exotic setting for the secondary English and international audience.This emphasises the importance of Les Revenants adopting a polysemic narrative. It must mean different things to audiences of different nationalities.
• Generically highly unconventional of the supernatural/horror genre. Lacks generic paradigms such as corpses, monsters, blood etc... It is not till much later that we find out Camille isn't supposed to be there and is established as unconventional Zombie.
